From the perspective of Jeny, Fabi, Jojo, and Clau:
I am Jennifer Leslie Baker. I am 19 years of age born in Phoenix but raised in Texas, and currently residing in Georgia. I am currently studying Nursing at Shorter University. Throughout the years, I have discovered my true passion, serving in the name of Christ. It all started in March 2012 when I experienced my first encounter with Christ. It was then when I understood a deeper meaning of my life and the life of others. I have always valued kindness and respecting others, but getting to know Christ has raised my hunger for service, serving others with my all and no limitations. I know that throughout the years we hear you should treat others the way you wish to be treated, but I think we need to take this saying and actually live it. Living it with passion and humbleness and taking the opportunity to share it in the simplest ways of love. Christ has worked with me in such interesting manners. As time passed, I was able to not only get closer to God but I was able to grow in ways I never thought possible. For example, embracing my Hispanic background; such as practicing my Spanish in order to serve where God needs me at this moment in my service.
All this to say, is that I am such a happy person! I love how God has shown me the person I am with no mold to fit. From pasta to tacos de carne azada and from Carrie Underwood to Banda MS I can truly say I live the best of both worlds. In conclusion, embrace who you are with passion and humbleness. These two things have been the key for my constant search of authentic happiness which is motivated by the beautiful Creed I confess as a Catholic.
With love and humbleness your sister in Christ,
