It’s something personal

We are not forced to do anything. We have the desire to do as we please, but we do so because of God. We think, we act and we feel because of God. We were created by God because he loves us. Every day he continues to love us despite of our sins. Yes, all of us. We are so special to Him. Sometimes I wonder, how is it that he knows all about ME or how he never forgets about ME!? There are some things that I may never know specifically about God, but what I do know is that we are all meant to be here, we are supposed to be living this exact moment all because God has it planned for us. He knows what our intentions are, he knows our plans. He knows us, He knows our hearts. We are not just another child born into this world, we are God’s intended child.

God wants us to know the love He has for all of us, and not just know it but to feel it, experience it and see it. He wants us to believe it.  There is nothing more beautiful than an intimate relationship with our creator. Of course, keeping up the relationship with God is hard and it takes dedication, but the reward to an everlasting bond is indescribable. We fail God too much, and because of it we may reject Him, and think we are unworthy. We may even overlook and overthink the endless possibilities we have to dedicate our time to God, to believe we can really trust Him and to know he cares. There are several things in the world, in your world that convince you to not believe. There are distractions, natural disasters, poverty, abuse, negligence, the list goes on and on as to why you should look away from God. But if anything should make you turn your head up into the sky and rejoice it would be because He lives. You wouldn’t be here today if he didn’t. I am not here to sit down and try to convince you to love God and to say it out of habit because to each believer its personal. I am here to tell you what it is like for me to believe and what it’s like to always see the light or some sort of representation of God in everything that occurs. Yeah sure we all go through pain, and struggle, but so did Jesus, for us. He is the most selfless person, despite the humiliation He went through and the abuse he endured, He did it all for the sake of our salvation. He did what needed to be done. He sacrificed himself for every last one of us, whether we believe in Him or not. He showed us what it meant for him to believe and to stay true to the creator. Without Jesus, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I remember living my first retreat, I was asked who was it that Jesus loved the most, and of course, I was still learning and I was like obviously He loves his mother the most. I literally didn’t think that it would be me, yet it was. I was the one who God loved the most. Never would I have put myself on the top of the list of who God loved the most. It was a special moment for me to realize that I am not just somebody but that I am His, His beloved daughter. I hope that one day you find yourself in a beautiful relationship with God. It’s never too late to start. It’s a never ending journey to love and to be loved. You don’t reach the end and that’s it, it’s something you’re going to have to keep working at forever, just like any other relationship you have, you have to do your part. I promise you the world will look so much better if you would just believe and trust that God knows what He is doing with you.

“Faith is like a bright ray of sunlight. It enables us to see God in all things as well as all things in God.”- St. Francis de Sales
