“All that is good, all that is true, all that is beautiful brings us to God.” // Pope Francis
A while back someone told me to always dream big and to not let anyone talk me out of my dreams, but they also told me to always present them to God. They said He will lead me to my dreams and that I will be able to see all the beauty along my path. BUT what they didn’t tell me was how hard it can be, how many doors will shut, how much that would hurt and how ugly it can feel.
We seem to hurry through life and just focus on the bad and the ugly side of things when in reality we just need to take a second to pause and really think about how we can find the beauty even if it doesn’t seem like there is any.
As I’m talking about beauty, I’m coming from a completely different perspective than what we tend to of think beauty. We sometimes think that beauty only comes from what we see on the surface, on a magazine cover, tabloids, headlines, tv… etc.
I’m speaking about the kind of beauty:
That speaks to the soul, which makes you be a better person.
That leaves you speechless when trying to describe the feeling.
The kind of beauty that when you see something or meet someone, it makes you want to seek God.
So in the midst of all the ugliness of the world and how hard it can be at times, I invite you to seek beauty in every situation, every person, and every door that shuts because seeing the beauty in everything, I promise you, it makes a very big difference.
When a song is playing, listen closely to how beautifully all the notes are harmonizing.
When you go outside, breathe the fresh air and see all the green around you.
When you see a sunset, get amazed in the different colors of the sky.
When it rains, enjoy the relaxing raindrops.
When you read a book, get lost within the words.
When you do what you enjoy the most, let it motivate you and give you balance in life.
The small beautiful details are what takes us back to the greatness of our God, so don’t give up on your dreams. Do your part and the rest give it to God, he will take care of it. And you enjoy the beauty of life.
