God reveals His love for us in incredible ways. Sometimes, it’s through the words we hear: a homily at Mass that makes us feel like God Himself has taken over the mic to speak individually to us, or a talk that says exactly what we need to hear, exactly when we need to hear it. Other times, it’s through the love we receive: a friend’s support at amid hard times, or a stranger’s random act of kindness when we least expect it.
This is the beginning of our journey, knowing that we are loved beyond reason, without limit and without condition. When we live from this place, the place of communion with God the Father, through His son Jesus Christ, we become capable of great things.
That is our journey in discovering why we are here. He wants to use YOU. He wants to use what you love to glorify Him. And in the process, think of the testimony you share through the simple example of Christ-like normalcy. Your regular acts can speak volumes when done with extraordinary love.
I know that every single time I say “yes” to God, I am one step closer to becoming who He created me to be and to fulfilling my vocation. I don’t need to have my entire life planned out right now, and quite frankly, I don’t want it all planned out. The journey is all that matters. The past cannot be changed (though it can and should be learned from), and tomorrow is never a guarantee.
“Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving; make your requests known to God” (Philippians 4:6).
Of course I am excited for the future, but most importantly, I am striving to be fully invested in the present moment at all times. I believe that the Lord puts a call, gifts, and desires into each of our hearts… and the world needs it! The world needs YOU… and me, and everyone.
The human heart has noble desires for truth, beauty, goodness, and ultimately fulfillment and joy! But the thing is… no one can truly seek and find these things apart from fulfilling the will of God.
I know for certain that He will reveal to us all we need to know, in His perfect timing and mysteriously awesome ways.
Living out God’s plan is like a super duper intricate and beautiful puzzle. He puts different pieces in the right place at the right time, and for now, only He knows what the finished picture looks like. Let’s trust Him… let’s love Him… let’s be saints!
