Because of You

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

I’m alive because He lives!

On the third day, He rose from the dead. The greatest act of love ever made. God loved us so much that He sent His only son to save us. The beauty of Christ’s final breath on Earth is that we are given our first breath in heaven. When Christ breathed His last breath on Earth, we breathed our first! Death no longer declares victory over us. With His resurrection, we have been set free.

Yes, we have been set free to be authentically happy. But how can we be happy and free? God wants us. He WANTS us! He wants what you truly are. He is choosing you right now. Every day He is choosing YOU! You personally. So what does He want from us? He wants our inner soul. He wants the love of His children. God’s deepest desire is to heal us of our wounds and to unite ourselves more with the passion of Christ. Through Christ’s suffering and death for our sins, we have been saved, and now, being in the image of Christ himself.

What a blessing that God wants us to be more united with our Savior, Jesus Christ! He seeks you because He made you!!! He calls each of us by OUR name, like when Mary Magdala went out to look for Him at his tomb after his death, but she found nothing, no body, no master, she set out to cry until…

“Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, ” Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” Jesus said to her, ” Mary.” She turned to him and said to him, “Rab-bo’ni!” John 20:15-16

You can literally hear the love and gentleness in Jesus’ voice as He says her name. He doesn’t explain anything He just wants her to hear her name and to simply be there, to accept His love.

He is calling us by our name, to have a personal intimate moment with Him! Let’s seek Him, so that we can to recognize our master and let our tears of loss be supplemented by tears of joy! Between the dialogue of Mary and Jesus, there are two great thirsts; Jesus for Mary and Mary for Him. It is our deepest longing to be called by name and to rest in an embrace.

I can rest in God, trust that He understands me better than I do and that He does love me. He says my name! My name! This isn’t just a general invitation; when I really think about what I want, I know that it is this: an invitation to be known completely, to be loved completely, to just be. He has got a beautiful and intimate plan for each one of us, and all we have to do is say yes to Him and allow His graces to transform our lives.

Jesus’ resurrection makes the history of salvation make sense, and for our faith to have sense and purpose. It all started with the cross. Pray for me as I will pray for you that we may pick up the cross every morning ready and willing to serve our God. May God bless you, and may you allow Him to love you in ways you never thought possible!

“Faith in the Resurrection of Jesus says that there is a future for every human being; the cry for unending life which is a part of the person is indeed answered.”(Pope Benedict XVI,  Benedictus, 128)
