Life can be really stressful sometimes, I would know, I am a college student. But that’s not the point. The question is what is it that we are doing when we are stressed? How are we managing our time? With final exams and deadlines, I have been so overwhelmed, but I never let anything get in the way of me talking to God and turning to him for guidance.
I just recently turned 20 years old, and I have asked myself, is this where I am supposed to be in life? Have I done too much, have I not done enough? Maybe you don’t have everything together just as nicely as you would like and I get that it is easy to compare your life with the others around you. But I must say one thing: do not be in a hurry to grow up. Please. Live each stage of your life in its own timely manner. Do not be in a rush to do what other or older people are doing. Just live. Live YOUR life, and not a version of someone else’s. Don’t feel bad if you don’t have the same experience as someone else. God has a plan for every single one of us, and not one is meant to be lived twice. You are special. Things may be going really really great for you or maybe things are not where you would like them to be, and that’s okay because we have been given faith and hope to rest upon. Jesus is always ready for us with his arms wide open, to catch us when we fall, to listen to us and to understand. He is there to protect and to guide us, there is so many amazing things we witness if we just give our time to him.

Life is such a precious gift and we need to value it. We need to manage it in ways that benefit us but more importantly in ways that please God. If there is anything I should teach you about time management it would be, whatever the situation, to put GOD FIRST. Don’t be the center of your life. Let God be the center of your life and everything else around Him. Start the day off in prayer. When making decisions turn to Him. Whatever it may be that you are feeling, thank him for He knows well enough what He is doing.
Commit to the Lord, whatever you do and he will establish your plans. – Proverbs 16,3
Remember to never forget about the blessings you receive daily. Let God know you trust him.
He loves the sound of your voice.
